Study pinpoints arctic shorebird decline,

"...many Arctic shorebird populations in precipitous decline." Their question is, "Why," which leads to where. So these scientists monitored breeding sites for disruptions.
Yet the Alaskan breeding sites all look good. The birds that migrate South in America look OK, while those that fly the East Asian-Australasian, who depart Alaska for Asia, are not doing well.
