This is the Echo Chalet Resupply forum page.

The Echo Chalet Resupply Page contains all relevant information for backpackers planning on resupplying at  Echo Chalet.

The most important piece of information is that as of Oct 2015,

ECHO CHALET POST OFFICE NO LONGER ACCEPTS
BACKPACKER RESUPPLY PACKAGES
.

The Echo Chalet site informs that packages addressed to Echo Chalet will be re-directed to the Twin Bridges Post Office, which is about Nine Miles West down Highway 50.

Twin Bridges is in the opposite direction from South Lake Tahoe, where regional resources are centered.

ALTERNATIVE RESUPPLY POINT
My suggestion is to scratch Echo Chalet and/or Twin Bridges as your Tahoe resupply point, instead sending your resupply to Peter's Lake of the Sky Outfitters.

Peter's a great guy, his shop is a center of long-distance backpacker resources, and sending a resupply there is free, last I heard.

I believe he should make something! Support LOTS!

Have you any comments, experiences, or considerations on Echo Lake Chalet as a resupply point for long distance backpackers?

Post them below through the comments link, or register and create content, select "Resupply" as the type of entry, and "Echo Lake" as the resupply point.
