See the Carson Iceberg Wilderness Closure Map, page 3, on the order above.

Wilderness and National Forest Closures
CLOSURES
ALL CLARKS FORK ROAD, and HIGHWAY 108
All Clarks Fork Road and Highway 108 Corridor facillites, including trails, campgrounds, (excepting Eureka Valley Campground, see previous Forest Order below), and forest roads coming off and along Clarks Fork Road, and along Highway 108 from the Clarks Fork Road turnoff to Kennedy Meadows turnoff along Highway 108 are CLOSED.
ALL CLARKS FORK ROAD CLOSED
Spicer M Reservoir, Arnot, Disaster, and Boulder Creek Trails
This includes the TYT down Arnot Creek and up Clarks Fork Road to Clarks Fork Meadow, and the trailheads and trails to Sword Lake & the whole SE Shore of Spicer Meadow Reservoir being CLOSED up to the TYT-Highland Creek trail junction.

TYT in Carson Iceberg Wilderness
The route of the TYT from Lake Alpine to Highland Creek, and up Highland Creek to the PCT is OPEN. The TYT South from Highland Creek up Jenkins Canyon, and halfway down to Arnot Creek, is OPEN, but the bottom of the TYT down to Arnot Creek, and all of the trail up to Clarks Fork Meadow, is CLOSED.

2019 Tahoe to Yosemite Trail Detour
Thus the TYT hiker must detour up to the PCT via Highland Creek, to Highland Lakes, to the PCT at Wolf Creek Pass, then following the PCT to Sonora Pass, before resuming the route of the TYT South from Kennedy Meadows Pack Station.

Clarks Fork Road Closed
Trails from Clarks Fork Road up Arnot Creek CLOSED.
Disaster Creek trail CLOSED to Paradise Valley junction.
TYT CLOSED from above Arnot Creek, South through Clarks Fork Road up to Clarks Fork Meadow, including the Boulder Creek trail to the PCT.

Tahoe to Yosemite Trail Detour
TYT Open from Lake Alpine through Woods Gulch, but as Arnot Creek is CLOSED, including all the route of the TYT on Clarks Fork Road and the trail up to Clarks Fork Meadow, we will detour from the NE end of Spicer Meadow Reservoir up Highland Creek to the PCT. We'll follow the PCT to Sonora Pass, then pick up the TYT hiking South from Kennedy Meadows.

Detour to PCT:
Highland Creek trail to the PCT at Wolf Creek Pass is OPEN.

The Tahoe to Whitney Trail Guide and Magazine are walked, written, funded, and supported by my efforts, with the help of kindred spirits and my sister.

We offer valuable Trail Guide, Skills, Weather, News and Analysis.

My goal is to get you out to see your natural and social potential. Help me keep this unique resource accessible and expanding towards its potential. We've a lot of miles to cover ahead...

I NEED HELP!
If you feel these efforts are valuable, I'm cordially inviting you to support them, here:

I am currently working towards publishing the completed guide between Tahoe & Yosemite as an e-book, while converting this "blog" to a fine magazine format. You will like the results! Help Tahoe to Whitney reach its potential!
