Dr. Peter Skaff is riding to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

I met Peter and his brother Jason backpacking just South of Echo Summit. Peter is a good guy working hard trying to make the world a better place.

Peter is looking for sponsors for his ride from San Francisco to the Russian River. All the donations go directly to the MS society, and are completely tax deductable.

If you are doing good in these hard times, share a little with people who are really suffering both from hard luck and these hard times.

Here's a note from Peter:

Dear Family and Friends,

This September, I will again be riding in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society “Waves to Wine” bicycling event to raise money for the MS Society, and to raise awareness about the impact of MS on the lives of our patients and their families.

Several of my colleagues have also joined the team and will be making the 125 mile, 2 day trek from San Francisco to the Russian River Valley. Last year, our Mercy Neurological Institute Cycling Team raised over $11,000 for this worthy cause, and I hope that we can do even better this year.

It's my personal goal this year is to raise over $1000, so I've already put in the first $100. With your help, I know we can reach this goal and beyond.

Donations to the MS society assist patients directly. Here’s a look at what they can accomplish with the help of your donation.

$25 New books or DVDs for our lending library

$50 Emergency assistance for a family in need of food

$100 A one day training for a yoga instructor to learn how to teach yoga for people with MS

$500 Direct financial assistance for someone who needs a wheelchair to keep moving in life

$1,000 One 8 week counseling program for 10 people living with MS

Remember, every dollar helps, so any amount you can donate would be greatly appreciated (and is tax deductable).

Please visit the link below and make a donation today (if the link is not highlighted, just copy and paste it into your browser address window and hit enter).

Thanks in advance,
