Wildfires to Worsen in the West

This BBQ is Just Getting Started!

2017 California Wildfires Have Global Impact

Wildfires will likely get worse in western North America,
Earth-Sky, March 5, 2018.

The wildfires have already gotten worse, much worse, in the Western US. It is much drier, Fall runs to the doorstep of Winter, and the Spring Thaw begins earlier every year. Each season and every year are warming.

The elements of the web of life on our planet, the plants and animals that are not burning, are all running North as quickly as they can, and shifting their seasonal timing, as and if possible. All the plants and animals are already reeling from the radical changes to the progression of the seasons they've already endured. The next steps in our irresponsible growth will finish them off.

We are on the cusp of a great biological crash, unlike any that modern humanity has seen before.

Our activities have already shifted the timing and character of our planet's seasons, and those changes are accelerating and deepening their destructive effects through the engines and webs of life that have sustained complex life and ecosystems on this planet for the last 10,000 years. Our irresponsible growth has seized-up those engines, and shredded that web.

Life on our planet is crashing.

Huge and ever-growing fires are just one of the many manifestations of the growing misfit of our current ecology within the new climate our irresponsible growth has created. Our behavior, and the ecological destruction it has engenered assure that we are entering an Era of Climate-Driven Global Food and Water problems unlike any we've ever seen before.
