Melting Sea Ice brings California Droughts?

What could cause California droughts? Melting sea ice,
Mercury News, December 5, 2017.

We've been tracking long-term Arctic Warming as a factor feeding the long-term development of the NE Pac Winter High here on Tahoe to Whitney.

It's not just Arctic warming. The warming of the Arctic and Equatorial regions bordering the NE Pac have changed all the weather across the NE Pac coming into the Sierra.

Right now we are watching their effects in the reestablishment of the NE Pac Winter High, in position to knock all storms out of the NE Pac to the North, around the Sierra Nevada.

I'm glad science is catching up to what's been happening to Nature "on the ground."
