CORVALLIS, Ore. – Lodgepole pine, a hardy tree species that can thrive in cold temperatures and plays a key role in many western ecosystems, is already shrinking in range as a result of climate change – and may almost disappear from most of the Pacific Northwest by 2080, a new study concludes.

This is only one piece of scientific reporting on the already accelerating decline of the remnants of the Great Western Forests of the US.

Check out this partial list of other scientific reports on the brutal decline of Western Forests.

As I have pointed out over the last few decades, our seasons are in flux, are undergoing radical changes. The season have already departed their historic progression and pattern here on the West Coast. The weather pattern that supports the specifics of our eco system long ago began changing. Only now are science and government recognizing the profound consequences of these changes.

Now they are using all their powers trying to figure out how to perpetuate the growth that caused these changes. This just goes to show you that intelligence and wisdom are two completely distinct qualities.

I would have had respect for the scientists if they had predicted and warned of the implications of our foolishness, while it was beginning, but they did not. And it would have been better yet if science would have lived up to its claim to be predictive.

Now the scientists have taken up the role of reporters. Well, somebody's got to do the job of reporting, as our corporate press has abjectly failed in their role as a "free press."

So we are left with scientists reporting on the great decline in our planet's fertility that our unlimited growth and consumption have triggered, while almost nobody is talking  in real-time terms about what the great Winter floods that the mid-west is now experiencing almost every year mean.

There is little or no public discussion about the weird weather across the whole South of our country, nor the great fires that are breaking out all over the plantet every Spring.

No, don't worry about it, and our scientists and reporters will do everything in their power serve their corporate masters and are working as hard as they can to keep on growing a system that has failed in almost every measureable respect.

Our government has been completely corrupted, and those who corrupted our political system have run our economy, our schools, and our whole infrastructure into the ground while doubling the population of our nation.

During this process of stripping of our country of all of its wealth and resources, while doubling the population, all of the wealth of our nation just happened to fall into their pockets.

Want to know who I'm talking about? Just follow the money. It all goes back to a very small group of people.

They own all of the corporations, fund both of the political parties, and own the press.
