End of the Line Approaches

Why California’s most productive salmon hatchery is millions of fish short,
Sac Bee
January 2, 2018.

"Because of the hatcheries, fall-run Chinook (and the smaller late fall-run) are the only Central Valley salmon runs healthy enough to avoid protections under the U.S. Endangered Species Act. The spring run is listed as threatened. The winter-run is critically endangered. The runs are named for the season when the majority of the adult fish enter freshwater."

"The drought played havoc on all the runs, which need cold water to thrive. Returns of spring- and winter-run Chinook born during the drought are among the lowest on record."

The salmon are being driven to final extinction between the forces of our irresponsible growth outright killing the salmon habitat and fishing them into extinction, while the ecosystem & climate changes our irresponsible growth has already triggered assures their Final Failure.

While, in the meantime, our corporate "leaders" push their irresponsible, immoral, and illegal immigration past all points of natural and human decency...

It is exactly this behavior that has finished off our traditional ecosystems and ecology in the Sierra during this generation's watch...

All of you who have and are advocating for endless greed and the endless growth of greed are fully responsible for the death of our salmon, of decimating our wildlife generally, and of destroying its local and global ecosystems...

This “problem” of ecosystem disruption is everywhere
