Welcome to the Tahoe to Whitney Backpacker Forums

You are on the Tahoe to Yosemite Trail Guide Forum between the Carson Gap and Lake Alpine.

The Carson Gap to Lake Alpine section of the Tahoe to Yosemite Trail Forum needs your input, be it recounting your experience through this difficult section of the Tahoe to Yosemite Trail, any short trips you've taken into this remote section, as well as your questions and comments.

If you have backpacking experiences on the Tahoe to Yosemite Trail between the  Carson Gap and Lake Alpine, this Forum is the place to share your information, experiences, pictures and videos. I want to hear your trail stories and get your impressions of this section of the trail to help inform other backpackers how different backpackers experience this trail section.

Register, then navigate to the Trails Forum and select the section of the Forum that treats your favorite trails and post up a stand-alone Forum Topic, Trail Note, or Trail Book about your experiences. Registered hikers can post up in-line images in their text, and easily embed videos and maps in their posts.

Unregistered hikers can post up comments on existing Trail Forum topics, and even stand-alone posts across the front page of the General Backpacker's Forum, but only registered hikers can post up new topics in the High Sierra Backpacker Trails and Topics Forums.

Each page in this particular Trails Forum covers a specific location of the Tahoe to Yosemite Trai. Eachl is set up to accept your comments, questions, and experiences along this section and at specific locations along the trail.

If your experiences exceed the scope of a comment on an already existing forum page, I strongly suggest you Register and post up your own stand-alone pages in this forum about your experiences along this remote section of the Tahoe to Yosemite Trail.

Hikers need as many perspectives as possible to get a good impression of a new trail.

If your information and experiences cover gear, food, trail skills, or encounters with animals, meetings with other Elements of Trail Culture, or even flowers, check out the general Backpacking Topics Forums.

If you have an trail experience along the Sierra Crest Trails, this Backpacker's Forum should  have a place to post it. If not, it will after you contact me.

To provide the best information for our fellow backpacker's use and edification, please date your experiences through this section, name your trailhead, the route of your trip, and how many days it took to complete your route. Or just tell a good trail's up to you.
