February and March 2017: Watching the New World Weather Emerge
CHANGING WEATHER NEWS
March of 2017
The transitions between seasons, their basic character, their timing, temp, and humidity transitions have all changed. The directions from which the seasonal winds blow have changed. These changes are reverberating through and disrupting webs of life that wrap around the whole planet.

PRINCETON UNIVERSITY, March 1, 2017.
This pollution is a “gift” from our own corporations, via China. They fled to China to excape responsible wages, benefits, safety and pollution laws that made America strong. Apple is a prime example. This is just the smell of Apple’s profits from afar.
If Apple was an American company they would manufacture here, with properly paid American workers. Apple would pay taxes here, which would support Americans and American society. Apple does none of this. They hire foreign slaves at slave wages who have to be prevented from killing themselves. They easily deal with corrupt regimes, such as those in Tawian, China and the USA. They bribe govts to allow them to hide their money offshore. Ours and Ireland, at the very least.
Oh, but it’s not bribery, it’s “campaign contrabutions,” or some other future renumeration.
It was hilarious watching the US and Irish “representatives” fighting the EU’s determination that Apple has evaded their taxes, which has been apparent to everyone who’s been watching since day 1. Corporations bribe governments for anything and everything they want, here and around the whole world, while their lapdog press calls bribery "democracy."
Most Major American Corporations pay no taxes anyway, even with our “high” corporate taxes. Thus it was no surprise to watch the Obama Admin go to bat for Apple against paying real taxes to the EU, when our bribed politicians of both parties sheild their corporate masters so effectively from taxes here, while rewarding companies for escaping all responsible wages, benefits, safety, and pollution laws by moving American manufacturing to Asia.
“Globalism” is a racket.
Thank God the TPP is in the dumpster…
It’s time to stop subsidizing the outragous profits of irresponsible corporations who are poisioning us while they are cheating us, and the whole world, every way they possibly can.
We need a New Environmentalism that recognizes the damages “Globalism” is doing to Nature and the quality of life of hundreds of millions of average folk around the whole world. The answer to our problems is not more of what created our problems, but less.

Researchers: Warm Pacific water led to vast seabird die-off,
Associated Press, February 10, 2017.
Last year’s elevated temps were manifested as “The Blob.” The Blob was an artifact of a combination of fundamental factors controlling our weather, from radical changes in Arctic and Equatorial temps which have changed seasonal behaviors of NE Pacific Ocean pressure zones, which have changed the seasonal movements and location of East Pacific jet streams.
All of these changes apparently supercharged, and were supercharged by the power of the monster El Nino.
Wind patterns, ocean currents, and temps shifted radically under these changes.
Not just one component of the forces creating our weather has been out of wack, but all of them have shifted out of range of their old equilibrium. These changes are in the process of creating a new ecology here and around the world.
That’s what we’re seeing. The birth of a new weather pattern out of the death of the old.

Red crabs deposited on Sonoma Coast by unusual ocean conditions,
Press Democrat, February 3, 2017.
Assessment in article wrong: These creatures are being swept NW and N not by residual effects of last year’s El Nino, but by this year’s weird air and sea currents drawn NW by the persistent low in Gulf Alaska we have been tracking. This has changed temps and currents along W US Coast, N Central Pac, and NE Pac.
This strange configuration of persistant Low pressure in the Gulf Alaska has not just “refreshed” the Coast of N Ca. with fresh blasts of subtropical sea life, but this year’s weakening La Nina has brought more precip out of the Southwest than last year’s super-powerful El Nino.
