Backpacking Fitness: Legs and Lungs.

This is the comments and questions page for the Legs and Lungs section of the Backpacking Fitness section of the Tahoe to Whitney Trail Guide. Post your questions or comments through the commnets link at the bottom of this page.

If you have information or experiences that exceed the scope of questions and comments, Register and post your own article in this Backpacking Fitness Forum about how you keep your legs and lungs together for High Sierra backpacking.

Having flexibility, strength, and endurance in your legs and lungs is vital for successful long distance backpacking along the Sierra Crest trails.

My approach is to maintain a degree of aerobic training within civilization that will easily translate into a reliable level of performance in the mountains while under the weight of a pack.

I am currently working towards publishing the completed guide between Tahoe & Yosemite as an e-book, while converting this "blog" to a fine magazine format. You will like the results! Help Tahoe to Whitney reach its potential!
